THE APOSTLES
ABOUT
The Book of Acts is the first book after the Gospel books. It records that the ‘supernatural’ did not stop with Jesus but continued through the Apostles and the early Church as followers were filled with the Holy Spirit and performed wonders, healed and spoke boldly to convey the radical ‘Good News’ message to both Jew and Gentile across a multi-lingual, multi-cultural world. Just as today!
The Book of Acts is the bridge from the Gospels to the interpretive Epistles (letters).
Most Epistles are inspired through Paul (letters to the Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians, Timothy, Titus and Philemon).
Other Hebrew Epistles are by James, Peter, John and Jude.
The Book of Hebrews is commonly regarded as being inspired through either Paul or Apollos, but arguably more likely to be by Paul.
The songs within continue the simple musical rendition of these letters from Acts to Jude and build more on the ‘why’ rather than the ‘what’ of Part 1…
